Meet the team
Writer & Executive Producer
Coray Seifert is Krakensoft's Writer and Executive Producer, handling all business development and operations. For more than a decade, Coray has developed games as a designer, writer and producer for companies like THQ’s Kaos Studios, Large Animal Games, and the US Department of Defense. He has shipped over 35 games for PC, console, and mobile, including the IGF award-winning indie hit Rocketbowl, AAA titles Homefront and Frontlines: Fuel of War, and Zynga Slingo, a #1 game on Facebook peaking at 50 million monthly active users. A Lifetime Member of the International Game Developers Association, Coray was elected to the IGDA’s Board of directors in 2007 at the age of 27; the youngest board member in IGDA history.
A veteran game artist and art director with experience from console to mobile and flash to Unreal, John "Scribblepunk" Gaertner leads visual development for Krakensoft. An accomplished 3D artist, with experience on Homefront, Frontlines: Fuel of War, and the Outlaw Sports series, John also excels as a concept artist, illustrator and character designer. With stints at THQ, EA, Slingo and Hypnotix, John has worked on some of the biggest brands and most popular properties in the games industry. While not drawing Krakens eating cities, John enjoys hurtling himself down mountains and falling off of things on purpose.
Lead Software Engineer
Driving all things technology, Jason Chin is the lead tech resource for Krakensoft and the powerhouse behind our development efforts. Jason brings deep experience as a software engineer from AAA projects with Avalanche Studios, Rockstar Games, and THQ's Kaos Studios, as well as casual games experience at Slingo and Powerhead Games. In addition to his technology responsibilities, Jason is a massively detailed game designer and enjoys schooling everyone in RTSes of all varieties.
